Band & Today

Band: Just a few minutes ago, I came to another realization that I miss being in band again. I could join the band at CI.. but that's not the band I want. I want the band last year. I want my teacher to be Mr. Baughn. I want to be able to play in concerts with Mr. Baughn directing us. No one else but Mr. Baughn. 5 years being his student.. time went fast fo'shoo. I miss how he'd look out for me, not just as a teacher, but as a friend & a fellow believer in Christ; in other words, a brother, I guess you could say. But of course, he's still a teacher. The "Dress Code" inside joke.. I almost forgot about that. I never really thought I'd have an inside joke with a teacher. Lmao. But it's cool, he's an awesome teacher. He didn't care if cell phones were out, no one really took them out anyway. He didn't mind if we did homework during band class. How could you do your homework during band class? We just did it. Haha. If our section wasn't playing, we'd put our instruments down and work on it. He's awesome like that. & when he thinks we've done so much lately, he'd give us a break and let us watch a movie, do homework, etc. I miss his class. Disneyland. June 6th, 2008. Just 4 months ago. Just. But it feels like it was longer, like a year or something. I'll never forget that day. We left at like.. 7-ish in the morning for Disneyland, watching Napoleon Dynamite - only because Mr. Baughn likes that movie. We arrived there at around 9-ish, got together, exchanged numbers, got ourselves a locker to keep our things in, assigned meeting locations for when we had to meet at some point, and woosh! We were off on our own. I forgot how many rides we rode, probably 5 or 6. I wish it were more, but the lines were long. Especially, for Indiana Jones (but that was the last ride we went on) GAHH. I miss it. I soo miss it. I want to go back to Disneyland. I loved the fireworks. They were so mesmerizing. I wanted to take a video, or pictures of it.. but I didn't have my camera back then. Darn. That reminds me.. I haven't played my flute in so long.. I bet it'll sound horrible once I start playing it again. One weekend, soon, I'll play it again.

Today: I was happy today. My mornings are usually happy, I guess. (Hah, right.) But today was different, all sorts of things happened today. First off, Leanne was switched to 2nd period Spanish I, Ms. Barnett. Now she's in my class! But the down side to it, is that she has Ms. Barnett, haha. Ms. Barnett's weird.. I think she overdoes her enthusiasm when it comes to acting out the parts, and she doesn't have much control over her class. I dislike teachers like those; they don't have power(?) . But then again, I shouldn't expect that teaching over 100 students, 5 days a week is a piece of cake. So, today was RAP day (I hate that f#$%in s#*t - as April would say, haha) but my RAP class isn't that bad. I actually kind of like it. We played a game called "2 Truths, 1 Lie" (originated from "2 Truths, 2 Lies"). We each got a piece of paper, and Mr. Duran gave us about 5 minutes to write 2 truths about ourselves, and a lie. After we were done, we got with partners and exchanged papers, guessing which one was the lie. We exchanged about 5 partners during our RAP period, so we got to share with most people. My first partner was Anthony, I remember him way back in the 2nd grade. I hung out with him a lot. That was actually the time where I hung out with mostly guys instead of girls. Haha. Eventually, nutrition came and I met up with Kevin (the Senior pub). He asked me to be his Senior Buddy, because he wanted me to. That made me feel special, haha. I have a Senior Buddy now, yay! & of course, my FUSB, Nicole. Nice people like those make me love high school, it's just the homework and stress that make it agshljleasykd. But that's life. Then 3rd period came, and that was the height of my happiness for today. Remember how I kept ranting about how I'd love to have Ms. Adrian for my English teacher even if I'd regret making that decision because I'd be stressed with all the English homework she'd assign us? Well yeah, my prayer was answered. Today, during 3rd period, everyone in Mr. Terrazas' class was switched out and moved into a different English 1 Honors class. However, it wasn't Adrian, it was a different teacher. But that's okay, I can live with that because it's actually a real English class, with persuasive essays, novels, assignments from our Literature book that's basically like a dictionary. Yeah. My new English teacher is now Mr. Len, but he'll be gone by the end of the semester. He's an intern right now, taking place of Ms. Rousseau who just had a baby about 5 weeks ago. Mr. Len seems pretty cool, he's funny, and it seems like he means business with the work we'll be doing. You don't know how much I was smiling when Mr. Terrazas gave us the "bad news" of us transferring to a different class. Don't get me wrong, his class was cool.. but I wasn't sure I'd be learning much in his class. Hannah was like "Wtf?" because she'd seen me smiling like crazy because of the news. I really wanted to switch out that bad. I loved the thought about having a traditional English class now, but I might change my mind about actually liking the class because of the assignments that we'll be getting soon. Pretty soon. It didn't take long till school ended. I went to the ASB room to pick up my poster from the Renaissance rally. I wasn't sure what to do with it, but I decided to take it. Eventually, I gave it to Michael to hang it up in his room. Not sure he'll do it though, haha. That's basically what I wanted to share for today. Yay for English H1! [x

Renaissance Rally

Today was our school's second rally and it was pretty awesome. In the morning, Leanne and I were running around campus to give every teacher their tickets for admission to the rally. We don't even know our way around school yet! Actually we do, just not completely. Eventually we finished going teacher to teacher with the tickets. Whew! That was fun. Not. But I thought it was funny how each chance she got to see Vaugn was shot down. Poor Leanne. Afterwards, we went back to the gym and.. hmm.. what did we do after passing out the tickets? Wow, I don't remember anymore. OH. When we finished passing out the tickets, it was the time when the rally began so we went back to the gym. Screaming at people is tiring. "Freshmen take your seats!" "Scream! Be loud! Have spirit!" "Scoot all the way up! Make room for everyone else coming!" "Sit on the floor if you don't have room!" Yeah... haha. Jessie's comment: "Christine.. I rarely see this side of you." Who says I'm always quiet? Haha. When I have to do something, I do it. Uhm.. for the most part anyway. Freshmen do suck at screaming and yelling. Usually, classes battle when it comes to screaming and stuff. Mr.Z had to help us."Freshmen Rule! Freshmen Rule!" and "Seniors suck! Seniors suck!" It's fun when you scream, but I have a feeling I'll lose my voice soon. Oh well, haha. Kevin says he loves the Freshmen sidewall poster. Yay! I'm glad that the work of my friends were appreciated. Especially by me, because without them I wouldn't of have been able to do it. Random: I like to paint. I especially love how gloss paint makes paper.. well glossy. I hope my project for Ms. Romine's class gets me an A. I skipped like 4 problems in the assignment... I wonder what grade I have in her class. B? C? Gahh.. I hope it's at least an A-. We're getting grades soon. I should've done the extra credit. D#$%it. I really want to switch English classes. It doesn't even seem like an honors English class. I don't understand what we're suppose to do. My teacher doesn't write our assignments on the board, it sucks. That's the least he could do.. right? I don't know. I miss middle school. I miss Mr. Calzada.. he scared the hxll out of me for like 3 weeks at the beginning of 8th grade. Good old times. He was an awesome teacher. I miss Mrs. Ontiveros! Ms. Leal.. Ms. Lai (I miss her more when I think about the English class I have right now).. I miss Mrs. Johnson. OhmyGAWSH. I really wish they miraculously get promoted and move to CI.. and I get moved into their class. I don't know. For some reason I miss Mr. Calzada more. Maybe it's because I love how he explained things to us... and he has the power to make the class quiet. Completely. -Sigh- I feel like painting again. I have to paint Angelee and Michael a picture. Except, I'm not sure what. I'll think of something. I wish it were summer vacation again. I miss EJ. I wish he were here. I've been wishing for a lot of things lately.

- 30 or more minutes later -

Haha.. I went on MySpace. I forgot about blogspot. I just saw a picture that literally made me lmao. [x Ahhhh. Was I suppose to be doing homework? ....Probably. Oh well. -Pause- Oh yeahhh. So during the rally.. there were performances by All Male, All Female, Banners, DrumLineandBand combined. It was awesome. Am I missing a squad? Oh yeah. Teachers performed, it was funny. So like, during the Drum Line performance, there was this one part where the person with the symbols spin it around to amaze the crowd. Something went wrong though. During the stunt, he made a mistake(?) and cut his face. I thought it was horrible. I saw the blood in the check inbox place. Awe. I hope he's okay.

I'm thinking of joining CoEd... again. When are tryouts though?? Kevin (The head Pub for ASB) wants me to go to the practice this Saturday. 9AM - 2PM. I'm not sure though.. Michael's going to wait for the tryouts & I don't want to tryout alone, so I'll wait too? Back to School night is tonight. I don't feel like going.. but I might get credit for going. But I want to paint today and finish any homework that I haven't done yet. Speaking of homework, I should really be working on that.

I'm tired..
